Worked on the firebase/firebase-tools repository to deliver the MCP Mobile Testing Tool, enabling mobile test execution through app distribution. Focused on decoupling business logic into reusable modules to support MCP tooling, the work improved maintainability and cross-tool integration. Leveraging TypeScript and Firebase, the developer introduced automated testing prompts and a run_test flow that generates test cases when descriptions are missing. Enhancements included a structured test devices model, device retrieval tooling, and default-device handling to increase test reliability and reporting accuracy. Code quality was addressed through lint fixes and alignment of app distribution and testing modules, supporting scalable automation for future development.
