Worked on the tenstorrent/tt-zephyr-platforms repository to enhance firmware reliability and SerDes performance in embedded systems. Focused on refactoring the ETH and SerDes firmware loading process for improved clarity and robust error handling, while updating ERISC firmware to support multiple SerDes link speeds and more resilient link recovery. Implemented runtime call logging for API observability and introduced exponential-backoff retraining and port-down auto-recovery to minimize service interruptions. Leveraged C programming and Zephyr firmware patterns to improve maintainability, readability, and runtime link management. The work delivered stronger system resilience and streamlined firmware upgrades, emphasizing maintainable and observable embedded networking solutions.
