During a one-month engagement, Taiga modernized dependency management workflows for the ssvlabs/ssv repository by migrating from Dependabot to Renovate. This transition involved configuring Renovate to use the 'stage' branch as the primary environment for development and testing, and extending its configuration to group and cover a broader set of dependencies. Working primarily with YAML and leveraging DevOps and CI/CD practices, Taiga’s changes automated routine updates, reduced manual intervention, and improved release reliability. The work focused on workflow stabilization and maintainability, resulting in a single, streamlined process that supports secure, efficient updates and enhances overall code quality for the project.
