During the month, contributed to the shellhub-io/shellhub repository by developing a feature that allows dynamic control over Nginx gateway access logs. This work introduced an environment variable, SHELLHUB_GATEWAY_ACCESS_LOGS, enabling teams to toggle access logging on or off as needed. The implementation involved updating Nginx configuration files to conditionally activate logging based on this variable, providing operational flexibility for log retention and performance tuning across different environments. The solution was validated in both local and staging setups, demonstrating effective use of Go for backend development and configuration management, with a focus on DevOps best practices and deployment observability.
