Month 2024-11: Focused on improving IP address advertisement accuracy for external services in rancher/calico. Delivered a refined handling of single IPs vs CIDR ranges for global routes, introduced a filterNonSingleIPsFromCIDRs to ensure only CIDR ranges affect global routes, and ensured single IPs are correctly managed by the route generator for specific services and traffic policies. This reduced misadvertisements and improved reliability for ExternalTrafficPolicy and LoadBalancer IP scenarios. The work includes addressing /32 and /128 IP announcements for serviceExternalIPs.
