Worked on the wirenboard/homeui repository to deliver two targeted bug fixes focused on firmware update reliability and web UI security messaging. Addressed a variable name mismatch in the firmware update widget, ensuring the correct root filesystem expansion property is used for updates involving FIT images. Improved the display of vulnerability notifications by updating permissions for fcgiwrap to interact properly with Mosquitto, allowing critical security messages from wb-cloud-agent to appear in the web interface. Utilized JavaScript, React, and Linux system administration skills to enhance device stability and user trust, with a focus on backend integration and frontend reliability within the project.
