Worked on the permitio/opal repository to deliver a security-focused enhancement that improved callback logging and request handling. Leveraging Python and asynchronous programming, implemented logic to prevent sensitive data such as authorization tokens from being logged, thereby reducing the risk of credential exposure. Added regression tests to ensure that credential redaction in the callback reporter was effective and maintained over time. Refactored the logging system to derive URLs directly from callback requests, simplifying the reporter logic and improving maintainability. Focused on backend development and unit testing, the work enhanced both the security and reliability of the callback flow for the project.
