Worked on the music-assistant/server repository to enhance developer onboarding by improving documentation and introducing a command-line interface option for starting the server. Focused on Markdown-based documentation, the work involved updating key guides such as CLAUDE.md and DEVELOPMENT.md to propose CLI startup as an alternative to the traditional VS Code F5 shortcut. This approach aimed to streamline the local setup process, making it more reproducible and accessible for new contributors. The changes leveraged skills in technical writing and documentation structure, ultimately reducing friction in the development workflow and providing greater flexibility for developers working with the project’s server environment.
