Developed and delivered a new feature for the FabienTschanz/Microsoft365DSC repository, extending the AADEntitlementManagementAccessPackageAssignmentPolicy resource to support group scoping in addition to individual users. Leveraging PowerShell, Azure AD, and the Microsoft Graph API, the implementation introduced logic for resolving group GUIDs to display names and vice versa, ensuring accurate policy mapping for group-based entitlement management. The approach maintained backward compatibility with existing single-user scenarios, minimizing disruption during rollout. This work addressed a specific governance issue, enhancing automation reliability and coverage for enterprise deployments while adhering to infrastructure as code and DevOps best practices throughout the development process.
