During November 2024, Thomas Draeseke upgraded Compose libraries to the latest stable versions in the Esri/arcgis-maps-sdk-kotlin-samples repository, focusing on dependency management through the libs.versions.toml file. By consolidating and updating dependencies using TOML, Thomas improved the codebase’s maintainability and ensured compatibility with current Kotlin and Compose tooling. This work reduced technical debt and positioned the project for seamless adoption of future Compose features. Additionally, a minor comment correction enhanced clarity for future contributors. The depth of the work lay in streamlining upgrade processes and maintaining build stability, reflecting a methodical approach to long-term project sustainability.
