Developed end-to-end data protection enhancements for the goharbor/harbor repository by building backup and restore utilities that improve disaster recovery and operational reliability. Focused on DevOps practices, the work introduced bash scripts to automate backup and restoration of Harbor’s databases and configuration files, incorporating robust error handling, detailed logging, and status-enforced Docker calls for accurate reporting. Documentation updates, including a comprehensive README, enable operators to perform repeatable backup and restore processes. The implementation also addressed compatibility by warning about chartmuseum data deprecation. All changes were refined through code review, resulting in maintainable and auditable backup management for Harbor deployments.
