Worked on the hashicorp/terraform-provider-aws repository to deliver a new feature expanding DNS configuration options for AWS Route53 Resolver rules. Developed and integrated the target_ips attribute into the data.aws_route53_resolver_rule data source, enabling users to retrieve and specify both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses along with port and protocol details for FORWARD DNS rules. This enhancement, implemented using Go and Terraform, allows for more deterministic and scalable DNS forwarding setups across VPCs and regions, reducing manual configuration and risk. Demonstrated skills in AWS infrastructure, provider development, and backward-compatible code maintenance, with a focus on automation and flexible infrastructure as code practices.
