Developed and delivered per-segment freeze state control for WLED integration within the mib1185/homeassistant-core repository, enabling users to independently manage freeze and reverse states for each LED segment. This work involved refactoring the existing reverse-switch into a generic segment switch, enhancing flexibility and maintainability. Complementary documentation updates were contributed to home-assistant/home-assistant.io, providing clear guidance on the new Freeze switch feature for end users. The implementation leveraged Python for device control and Home Assistant integration, with technical writing and Markdown used to ensure comprehensive and accessible documentation. The focus remained on feature expansion and code quality rather than bug fixes.
