Contributed to the fastly/Viceroy repository by developing and testing backend features in Rust, with a focus on cache correctness and data integrity. Built an integration test to validate cache collapsing under empty-vary edge cases, ensuring accurate transaction routing and reducing the risk of stale data in user-facing responses. Addressed a streaming cache bug by locking cached data length and metadata at lookup time, preventing discrepancies during processing and improving reporting accuracy. Collaborated closely with teammates to align test coverage and code quality with production requirements. Demonstrated strong skills in Rust, backend development, and testing throughout the two-month contribution period.
