Worked on the sapcc/helm-charts repository to enhance OpenSearch permissions, focusing on improving monitoring, data retrieval, and template management capabilities. Leveraged DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code principles, primarily using Terraform and YAML, to automate the provisioning of OpenSearch resources. The updates expanded the security_analytics_full_access role, enabling health checks, detector creation, and access to index templates, thereby strengthening security management and supporting richer health metrics. By integrating index read and index_template permissions, the work facilitated seamless detector provisioning and template operations, addressing operational needs for automated workflows while maintaining a strong security posture within the OpenSearch environment.
