During January 2026, the developer updated build automation for the spring-projects/spring-framework repository, focusing on Gradle compatibility and maintainability. They delivered a Groovy DSL Gradle Compatibility Update, refactoring build scripts to align with Gradle 9 and upcoming Gradle 10 requirements. By replacing deprecated Groovy DSL property assignments with the standard assignment operator, they eliminated deprecation warnings and improved build hygiene. This work reduced upgrade risks for downstream users and prepared the codebase for future Gradle changes.
