During April 2026, Astro Explorer enhanced localization for the Account Hub feature in the thunderbird/thunderbird-l10n repository by migrating all relevant strings from accountSetup.ftl to accountHub.ftl. This work improved localization coverage and consistency for add-on installation and account settings, directly supporting first-time user experience improvements and internationalization readiness. Astro Explorer applied front end development skills and expertise in localization workflows, focusing on FTL language files and i18n best practices. The project addressed the need for more maintainable and comprehensive localization, ensuring that new and existing features within Account Hub are accessible and consistent across different languages and regions.
