During January 2025, Beiming Zhang developed rename support for pinned directories in the yorukot/superfile repository, enhancing both the user interface and underlying data model. Zhang refactored the backend in Go to enable persistent renaming across sessions, ensuring backward compatibility with both legacy and updated JSON formats. The implementation included a confirmation and cancellation flow in the UI to prevent accidental changes, improving usability and reliability. By addressing the core pinning logic, Zhang ensured that renamed directories were accurately reflected and maintained in the application state. This work demonstrated depth in backend development, data serialization, file management, and UI development.
