Worked on the thinkst/canarytokens repository to streamline the frontend development workflow by enabling frontend assets to be served directly from within the devcontainer. Addressed a persistent issue where building the Vue frontend inside the container was cumbersome, implementing a solution that mounts the /workspace/dist directory for seamless serving. This approach reduced friction for developers and ensured consistent environment parity between local and CI builds. The work focused on containerization and DevOps practices, utilizing YAML for configuration. By improving the devcontainer setup, the changes laid a foundation for more efficient future frontend development and resolved a long-standing bug affecting developer productivity.
