Worked on modernizing the CI/CD workflow for the oarepo/oarepo-runtime repository, focusing on enhancing reliability, security, and maintainability of the release pipeline. Upgraded core GitHub Actions such as actions/checkout, actions/setup-python, and actions/cache to their latest versions, ensuring compatibility with Python 3.12 and aligning with current security standards. Leveraged YAML to refine workflow configuration, adopting best practices for version pinning and clearer structure. These improvements reduced potential drift and exposure, streamlined build steps, and facilitated smoother onboarding for future features. The work laid a foundation for faster, safer releases and improved the overall maintainability of the project’s automation.
