Worked on the bitmovin-player-react-native repository to enhance the reliability and compliance of Google Cast integration for iOS. Addressed a critical issue where missing NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription in the Google Cast SDK configuration could disrupt device discovery and risk App Store rejection. Implemented a solution in TypeScript and React Native that applies a default local network usage description when none is provided, ensuring smoother Cast setup and consistent device discovery. Focused on configuration management and iOS development practices to stabilize the Cast-enabled playback experience, reduce user friction during setup, and maintain privacy compliance for the React Native Google Cast bridge.
