Worked on enhancing the reliability of health checks within the IBM/cp4ba-rapid-deployment repository, focusing on improving health reporting and deployment stability. Addressed a critical issue by fixing the PostgreSQL status verification and introducing a conditional check for BAA installation within the health check script. Leveraged bash scripting and system administration skills to ensure that health checks accurately reflect the real-time state of PostgreSQL and only trigger BAA installation when appropriate. This targeted bug fix reduced deployment risk and improved diagnostics, demonstrating a methodical approach to DevOps automation and reliability engineering without introducing new features during the development period.
