Worked on enhancing the FlightRecord API within the pytorch/pytorch repository by making it publicly accessible to external users and tools. This involved applying the TORCH_API macro to multiple C++ methods, thereby expanding the API’s surface for integration and downstream performance monitoring. Focused on API design and software architecture, the changes aimed to improve maintainability and interoperability for PyTorch users requiring external access to FlightRecord data. The work included documenting the new public interface and preparing for future testing and cross-version compatibility, ensuring a stable and accessible API for broader usage scenarios without introducing new bugs during the development period.
