Tien developed DataHub TLS Authentication Support for the apache/hudi repository, focusing on enhancing secure data synchronization between systems. Leveraging Java and backend development expertise, Tien introduced TLS-enabled synchronization by implementing a TLS context creation mechanism and adding configuration properties for CA certificates, keystores, and truststores. This work addressed enterprise security requirements by ensuring encrypted communications for DataHub integrations, supporting multi-environment deployments, and improving the overall security posture for cross-system data transfers. The changes, grounded in configuration management and security best practices, laid the foundation for broader TLS adoption within DataHub, demonstrating depth in both technical implementation and architectural foresight.
