Tihsamikah worked on modernizing localization for Thunderbird’s user interface, focusing on migrating the Move To and Copy To menus to the Fluent localization format in the thunderbird/thunderbird-l10n repository. Using FTL and applying skills in localization and user interface design, Tihsamikah updated menu strings and related tests to improve accessibility, consistency, and maintainability. This work addressed part of the ongoing migration for Bug 2012355, reducing string drift and maintenance overhead while aligning with broader Fluent adoption. The contribution demonstrated a methodical approach to workflow improvement and laid a technical foundation for expanding Fluent-based localization across the Thunderbird UI.
