
Worked on the LDMX-Software/ldmx-sw repository to enhance data processing flexibility and robustness in April 2025. Developed a configurable input_pass_name parameter for pfTrackProducer within pfReco.py, enabling more precise tracking and identification of processing stages. Addressed a bug in HcalRecHit by refining the energy-weighted position calculation to use individual hit energies and improving the logic for side Hcal bar positioning, including added warnings for missing bar orientations. These updates improved RecHit distribution accuracy and maintainability across processing passes. The work leveraged C++ and Python, applying skills in physics simulation, software configuration, and software engineering to deliver targeted, maintainable improvements.
