Developed and integrated the Tech49 Dark Color Theme into the zed-industries/extensions repository, focusing on configuration management and reproducible builds. The work involved porting the Tech49 VS Code theme as a submodule under the zed directory, updating the extension.toml configuration, and pinning the submodule to a tagged release for consistent deployments. Validation of the theme’s JSON against the v0.2.0 schema ensured compatibility and minimized runtime errors within the Zed GUI development environment. Leveraging git and toml, the approach consolidated theme assets for unified maintenance, introduced a native dark theme option, and improved branding and user experience for developers.
