Worked on enhancing the Ballerina-Org/ballerina core library by delivering two features focused on performance and developer ergonomics. Introduced parallel data handling capabilities through new Reader, Writer, and Updater APIs, enabling concurrent processing to increase data pipeline throughput and improve error handling. Additionally, made constructors for writable field convenience functions public, simplifying integration and reducing boilerplate for downstream projects. The work emphasized backend development using Go and applied functional programming principles to streamline usability. These changes collectively improved the efficiency and integration readiness of the Ballerina core library, supporting faster adoption and easier extension by other developers in the ecosystem.
