Worked on the rust-lang/reference repository to enhance the documentation testing workflow and improve repository hygiene. Developed a new doctest-enabled mdbook test flow by introducing an xtask command, later renamed to mdbook-test, ensuring rustdoc uses the correct toolchain override for reliable testing. Updated developer documentation and guides to reflect these workflow changes, streamlining onboarding and usage. Addressed maintenance by updating .gitignore to exclude test assets like linkcheck.sh, reducing unnecessary version control noise. Utilized Rust, Shell scripting, and Git to implement these improvements, resulting in more robust CI/CD integration, clearer documentation practices, and a cleaner, more maintainable codebase.
