In June 2025, Mahlburg contributed to the ibhagwan/void-packages repository by updating the Scenefx and Swayfx packages to their latest releases. Focusing on build systems and package management, Mahlburg revised distribution templates to align library names, versions, revisions, and checksums with upstream changes. This work, implemented using Shell scripting, improved downstream compatibility and maintainability for the distribution. The updates were recorded in Git with clear, atomic commits, ensuring traceability and reproducibility. Although the scope was limited to a single feature and did not involve bug fixes, the work demonstrated careful attention to release engineering and dependency management within the project.
