Worked on the eclipse-scout/scout.rt repository to deliver enhanced email file type recognition by implementing EML MIME detection. This feature extended the existing MIME magic bytes logic in Java to accurately identify EML files, including both sent and draft emails, within backend workflows. The approach improved file-type classification accuracy, enabling more reliable routing and processing of email data while maintaining backward compatibility with previous detection methods. Focused on backend development, the work ensured minimal deployment risk by integrating seamlessly with established MIME detection logic, ultimately supporting more robust handling of email files in enterprise Java applications without introducing breaking changes.
