Worked on stabilizing the chunked prefill testing framework in the vllm-spyre repository, focusing on backend-aware test gating and environment configuration to improve reliability. Addressed backend-specific issues by enabling dynamic features only where supported and skipping unsupported combinations, while also introducing local environment defaults for smoother ad hoc pytest runs. Improved the test harness by fixing ordering and cache reuse, which reduced cross-test contamination and eliminated persistent failures. Leveraged Python for backend development and distributed systems testing, resulting in more predictable test outcomes, reduced CI noise, and accelerated verification of chunked prefill scenarios, ultimately lowering QA overhead and improving code hygiene.
