During April 2026, contributed to the CodeLinaro/onnxruntime repository by implementing support for the GridSample operator (OPSETs 16–19) within the WebGPU Execution Provider. This work expanded WebGPU-backed inference capabilities, aligning the WebGPU EP’s feature set with other execution providers for GridSample functionality. The implementation involved C++ development focused on GPU programming and computer vision, with comprehensive test extensions to validate GridSample behavior on the WebGPU EP. Although local onnxruntime-web build integration was not performed, guidance was provided for end-to-end verification, ensuring that the new feature could be robustly adopted in broader machine learning deployment scenarios.
