During December 2025, TMT upgraded the GitHub Actions Checkout workflow to version 6 in the rails/rails repository, focusing on enhancing CI/CD reliability and performance. By leveraging YAML and DevOps best practices, TMT ensured the transition was smooth, with minimal disruption to ongoing development. The upgrade improved pipeline stability and provided faster feedback on pull requests, supporting better maintainability for the CI stack. TMT documented the process thoroughly, including rollback strategies and upgrade notes, demonstrating a methodical approach to change management. This work showcased proficiency in CI/CD modernization, GitHub Actions, and workflow automation within a core open-source codebase.
