During February 2025, Tommy Pozzetti enhanced IP cache endpoint management for Geneve+DSR workflows in the cilium/cilium repository. He developed and integrated new API instrumentation in Go, enabling consistent propagation of endpoint flags within the ipcache and ensuring tunnel endpoint information is reliably set. His work introduced a skip-encapsulation flag, optimizing NodePort traffic paths and improving overall system performance and observability.
