Worked on maintaining the reliability of the getsentry/opentelemetry-js-contrib repository by addressing compatibility issues in the MySQL2 instrumentation test suite following the release of mysql2 v3. Focused on updating tests to align with new behavior and configuration options introduced by the dependency upgrade, ensuring continued accuracy and functionality of telemetry for MySQL workloads. Employed JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js to reinforce test-driven maintenance practices and support seamless integration for downstream users. This work reduced upgrade risks and preserved telemetry integrity, demonstrating a careful approach to dependency management and a commitment to maintaining robust, reliable instrumentation in evolving environments.
