Worked on stabilizing code mining visuals within the Eclipse Platform UI by addressing a bug related to annotation type reuse. Using Java and UI development skills, implemented a fix in the eclipse-platform/eclipse.platform.ui repository to ensure that code mining annotations are recreated with the correct types, preventing type mismatches and improving display reliability. Developed a demo extension to reproduce the reported issue and added automated tests to validate the solution and guard against regression. This work enhanced the reliability of code mining features in the user interface, contributing to a smoother developer experience and more robust software development workflows.
