Worked on the tmobile/magentaA11y repository to enhance the user interface for progress indicators and modal dialogs, focusing on accessibility and maintainability. Developed reusable helper functions for modals and progress chips, improving the cohesiveness of the user experience. Addressed styling issues in SCSS, aligning components with design tokens for consistent theming and refactored code for better maintainability. Implemented focus management and visible outlines to support keyboard navigation, particularly in Safari, ensuring accessibility standards were met. Utilized React and JavaScript to deliver these features, updated demo scripts for reliability, and maintained a clear commit history to support collaboration and traceability.
