Worked on the Yelp/paasta repository to implement an API-driven restart capability for Flink instances, enabling atomic stop and start operations orchestrated by the flink-operator. Leveraged Python for backend development, focusing on API integration and CLI enhancements to reduce manual intervention and improve reliability. Enhanced the status output by introducing OSC 8 hyperlinks, clearer metadata organization, and improved section headers for better UI/UX. Addressed pull request feedback by refining error handling, consolidating logic, and updating messaging. Updated and expanded tests to verify the new restart flow, ensuring robust integration. Emphasized code quality through consistent imports and removal of redundant formatting.
