Tugdual Saunier enhanced the symfony/symfony repository by implementing BackedEnum support for workflow markings within the MethodMarkingStore. This work focused on enabling the storage and retrieval of workflow states using PHP 8.1+ enums, improving type safety and interoperability in Symfony Workflow. Tugdual updated both the core logic and associated tests to ensure compatibility with existing workflow features and to catch potential enum-related regressions. The project leveraged backend development skills with a strong emphasis on PHP and Symfony, resulting in a targeted, maintainable feature that deepened enum integration without introducing new bugs or disrupting established workflow logic.
