During November 2024, Tukaram Patil developed an end-to-end S100 SAP XML payload transformation feature for the UKHO/erp-facade repository, enabling integration with SAP systems. He focused on backend development using C# and XML transformation, implementing robust logging to improve observability of S100 event flows. Tukaram expanded unit test coverage with NUnit and FakeItEasy, ensuring reliability and maintainability of the new integration. He also performed code cleanup by removing obsolete event IDs, reducing technical debt and simplifying future maintenance. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to API development, emphasizing traceability, test-driven development, and readiness for production SAP integration scenarios.
