Elmeri contributed to the FreeTubeApp/FreeTube repository by delivering Finnish user interface localization, enabling the application to better serve Finnish-speaking users. Over the course of one month, Elmeri focused on internationalization and accessibility, translating UI strings into Finnish using a Weblate-based translation workflow. This approach ensured traceable commits and seamless collaboration with the repository team. The work primarily involved YAML for managing translation files and required skills in localization, translation, and user interface design. While no major bugs were addressed during this period, Elmeri’s efforts expanded the product’s accessibility and prepared FreeTube for a broader Finnish market release.
