Worked on the oaknational/Oak-Web-Application repository to enhance deployment reliability and security through targeted configuration updates. Focused on enabling Clerk authentication across Vercel preview and production environments by updating next.config.ts, allowing Vercel host headers in Clerk’s allowedOrigins for server actions. Addressed operational security by rotating cryptographic keys in pgp-key.txt and extending expiration in security.txt, ensuring ongoing secure communications and compliance. All changes were configuration-only, minimizing risk and simplifying future audits. Utilized TypeScript and applied DevOps and security best practices, with a focus on maintaining system integrity without altering the API surface or introducing new bugs during the process.
