During October 2024, Tzhi focused on enhancing data handling capacity within the category-labs/monad repository by upgrading the TrieDB buffer size from 2GB to 4GB. This change, implemented in C++, improved the database’s ability to manage larger datasets and increased overall throughput for data-intensive operations. Tzhi’s work centered on the TrieDb constructor, ensuring the upgrade was clean, traceable, and integrated smoothly with existing database management logic. While the scope of work was focused on a single feature, the technical depth addressed a core performance bottleneck, demonstrating a solid understanding of C++ development and database management in a production codebase.
