During March 2026, Ugi developed the Ad Astra Theme Extension for the zed-industries/extensions repository, focusing on front end and theme development using TOML. The extension introduced both dark and light variants with space-inspired visuals and vibrant cyan and pink-purple accents, enhancing the design system’s consistency and user experience. Ugi updated submodule references and project versioning to improve release hygiene and enable deterministic builds, supporting smoother future rollouts. Collaborative development was demonstrated through co-authored commits, emphasizing code quality and maintainability. The work addressed theming flexibility and streamlined dependency management, resulting in a more cohesive and manageable extension ecosystem.
