Worked on the apache/atlas repository to enhance the BusinessMetadata deletion process by implementing a force-delete option that bypasses validation for non-indexable attributes. This targeted feature, developed in Java with a focus on backend development and API design, addressed performance bottlenecks associated with deleting complex data types such as arrays. The approach reduced deletion latency and improved the efficiency of data lifecycle management while maintaining compatibility with existing workflows. Unit testing ensured system stability, and the work was closely aligned with governance requirements. The change was fully integrated and tracked within the repository, demonstrating attention to traceability and collaborative development practices.
