Worked on the EVerest/everest-core repository to deliver Bazel-based runtime data staging and environment segregation, focusing on improving how runtime data is handled and accessed across modules. Used Bazel and Starlark to implement a genrule that copies data into module-specific share directories, ensuring proper data scoping and reducing deployment risk. Updated the build engineering process to distinguish between binary or manifest files and general data assets, which enhanced runtime data accessibility and consistency. The work addressed infrastructure concerns by isolating environment configurations, resulting in more reliable deployment workflows and better separation of assets within the build system over the month.
June 2026: Delivered Bazel-based Runtime Data Staging and Environment Segregation for everest-core, enabling reliable runtime data handling and environment isolation. Implemented a genrule to copy data into module-specific share directories and updated environment setup to separate binary/manifest assets from general data, improving runtime data accessibility across modules and reducing deployment risk.
