During June 2026, contributed to the koala73/worldmonitor repository by developing a collapsible Historical Profile section within map tooltips for nuclear facilities and conflict zones. This feature integrated static historical data for nuclear sites and implemented a lazy-loaded UCDP data source for conflict zones, optimizing initial load times and supporting modular data maintenance. A geometric calculation service was engineered to filter conflict events by distance, enhancing the contextual relevance of displayed information. The work relied on TypeScript, CSS, and frontend development best practices, with unit testing ensuring reliability. No major bugs were reported, and follow-up tasks focused on UI/UX improvements and data expansion.
