Worked on the alibaba/ChatLearn repository to enhance observability for distributed workloads by enabling external access to the Ray Dashboard. Addressed the challenge of monitoring multi-node environments by configuring the dashboard to bind to host 0.0.0.0 on port 8265, allowing seamless access from external machines and data science workstations. This feature improved cross-team collaboration and resource management by making real-time monitoring and diagnosis more accessible. The work demonstrated practical application of cluster management and DevOps skills, leveraging Python and distributed systems concepts to deliver a targeted solution that increased transparency and traceability for complex, multi-node deployments.
