During January 2026, contributed a promise-based Node.js Inspector Profiler API for CPU profiling to the oven-sh/bun repository, enabling developers to start, stop, and configure profiling directly through the inspector. This work involved designing and implementing the API surface in C++ and TypeScript, integrating it with Bun’s backend to provide reliable CPU profiling data. By enhancing observability and supporting data-driven performance analysis, the feature improved workflows for diagnosing CPU hotspots in Bun runtimes. The contribution focused on backend development and Node.js inspector integration, laying the foundation for more advanced performance monitoring and optimization tools within the Bun ecosystem.
